Zumba reflections

For everyone that has takes part in the Zumba sessions that we are running this week, here are some questions for you to ponder. It might be that you look at them yourself or with your youth group. Either way, if there is something that you would like to share from your thinking, please drop it in the comments below.

A huge thank you also to Amanda for so generously giving her time, expertise and energy for us.

Strictly Methodist Dancing

We have taken part in a/some Zumba sessions this week. How did you find it/them?

What are your first thoughts when you think of dancing?

As a form of exercise and activity, how do you find it compared with others?

There are a number of references to dancing in the scriptures, particularly in the psalms, and the reference of dancing is one of joy – does dancing feel like a joyful experience for you and why?

Dancing could also be considered, when reading the scriptures, as a whole, worshipful activity and experience – what do you think about this?

If dancing is not your ‘go to place’ for a joyful experience (with my level of coordination I have to admit it isn’t my first choice), where do you find that unbridled and worshipful joy?
